Bocognano
The highest village in the Gravona Valley
Just beneath Vizzavona’s pass, Bocognano is best known for its chestnut trees forest and the fair dedicated to the chestnut, every december.
The village is also a favourite destination for the thrill seekers and nature lovers, with famous sites like the Voile de la Mariée Waterfall, or the Richjusa canyon.
Since 2017, a museum offers unique insight into the local traditions, and the history of one of Bocognano most renowned children, Napoleon Bonaparte.
